Lingerie, Topless, Progressive or Nude Waitressing: What Is the Difference?
IN THIS BLOG

Lingerie, topless, progressive and nude waitressing describe different dress levels. The role may still include greeting guests, serving drinks and helping the party keep moving, but the entertainer's level of dress changes.
Knowing the difference before you enquire makes it easier to brief the agency, set expectations with the group and choose something that suits the venue.
The four waitressing styles at a glance

Bucks parties, boys nights and private adult celebrations

A lingerie or bikini waitress remains dressed in the agreed outfit while hosting and serving. It is the mildest of the four options and can work well when the guest list is mixed or the organiser wants a cheeky addition without nudity.
The exact outfit should still be discussed. Bikini, themed costume and lingerie are not automatically interchangeable, and a performer may have her own wardrobe options.
WHAT IS Topless waitressing
A topless waitress serves and socialises with the group while topless. The booking is usually interactive rather than stage-based. She may greet guests, pour drinks and help maintain the party's pace.
That does not mean every extra is included. Party games, lap dances or a separate strip show need to be requested and agreed. Celeste Agency's booking form treats lap dances as a separate choice, which is a useful reminder to ask rather than assume.
What is nude waitressing?
A nude waitress provides the agreed service without clothing. Because this is the most explicit waitressing option, privacy and venue suitability matter.
Check that all guests are adults, the event is held in a private area and the property permits adult entertainment. The host should also provide a secure place for the entertainer to change and store her belongings.
Nude waitressing is not the same as booking an X-rated show. If you want a separate performance, request it as part of the enquiry.
What does progressive waitressing involve?
Progressive waitressing changes the dress level over time. A common three-hour structure is one hour in lingerie or a bikini, followed by one hour topless and a final hour nude. Celeste Agency currently uses that format in its Divine Elegance package.
The progression should be planned before the booking. Guests should not pressure the entertainer to change earlier or go beyond the agreed format.
This option can suit a party that starts with food or arrivals and becomes more adult-focused later. It also gives the organiser a clear timeline for games, a show or other entertainment.
What is lingerie waitressing?
Waitressing and strip shows are different bookings

Waitressing takes place across a longer section of the event. A strip show has a defined start, performance and finish. Some packages combine the two, but one does not automatically include the other.
Before choosing, decide what the party needs. If guests mainly need hosting and drinks service, a waitress may be enough. If the organiser wants a single focal point in the run sheet, a show may make more sense. A combined package can cover both roles.

How to choose the right option
Think about the guest mix first. Then consider the venue, the level of nudity everyone has agreed to and the role you want the waitress to play.
Lingerie can be a comfortable starting point for a mixed party. Topless service is a direct choice for a traditional bucks night. Progressive waitressing suits a longer booking with a planned build. Nude waitressing is best kept to a private adult event where expectations are clear.
The performer also needs to be comfortable with the brief. Boundaries agreed during booking continue to apply on the night.
How many waitresses should you book?
Guest numbers and the venue layout affect this decision. Celeste Agency's current booking form suggests one waitress for every ten guests. A second waitress may also be useful when the party uses both indoor and outdoor areas or when drinks are being prepared away from the main group.
Give an accurate headcount when you enquire. Adding guests at the last minute can leave the entertainer trying to cover a larger group than planned.
What the host still needs to provide
Confirm what is supplied before the event. In many private-party bookings, the host remains responsible for:
- alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks;
- ice, glassware and mixers;
- a usable serving area;
- safe access to the venue;
- a private changing space; and
- confirmation that everyone present is 18 or older.
If the event is in a hotel, apartment or hired room, get permission for both visitors and adult entertainment. A confirmed room booking does not automatically mean outside entertainers are allowed.

Questions to answer when you enquire
Provide the date, suburb, booking length and number of guests. Then confirm:
- the preferred dress level;
- whether the group is male-only or mixed;
- the venue type;
- any party games or separate show requests;
- parking and access instructions; and
- any firm boundaries or house rules.
These details help Celeste Agency recommend a waitress whose style suits the event.
